Harvey's first career was as comedian. He appeared in stand-up comedy shows during the mid-80s. He also was the host of Showtime at the Apollo and The Steve Harvey Show on The WB. In the wake of his appearance on Kings of Comedy Tour's original the Kings of Comedy the comedian appeared for the first time in The Original Kings of Comedy. The last stand-up comedy show he performed was in 2012. Harvey is the host of the two shows Family Feud and Celebrity Family Feud, holding this role since 2010. Harvey also hosted for Little Big Shots, Little Big Shots Forever Young and Steve Harvey's Funderdome. As an author, he has written four books among them his best-selling Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, which was published in the month of March in 2009. Steve Harvey Global is an entertainment and media company which is the home of East 112 and various other businesses. Harvey created Family Feud in Africa and joined forces with Anthem Sports and Entertainment in the HDNet acquisition. His wife Marjorie founded The Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused in the field of education for children. Harvey has received seven Daytime Emmy Awards as well as two Marconi Award winners, and fourteen NAACP Image Award Winners in various categories.
